Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Quality Engineer based in Orwell, Ohio. In this role, you will ensure our processes and systems meet product standards and customer expectations, crucial for maintaining product quality.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring quality management system performance, developing systems to meet specifications, and overseeing audits during product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields, along with relevant experience in quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Ability to compute statistical data and communicate complex statistical information.
• Good understanding of quality tools such as pareto charts and flow charts.

Job Summary

Quality Engineer based in Orwell, Ohio. Ensures processes and systems maintain product standards and customer expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze quality management system performance across operational value chain.
• Develop systems to meet specifications and standards (customer and 3rd party).
• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to evaluate current processes and process changes.
• Oversee product manufacturing through audits to ensure documentation and standards align with COS.
• Monitor and audit performance across operations per agreed standards and communicate performance levels.
• Establish and implement communication to deliver improvement and awareness of quality issues within departments.
• Liaise with Corporate Quality on management system, standards bodies, and performance.
• Implement changes in standards and performance.
• Develop and implement agreed targets within policies and standards with QA Manager.
• Act as mentor of Six Sigma.
• Additional duties as requested by QA Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in engineering, quality, new product development, manufacturing or regulatory.
• Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis skills (Why 5, Fishbone, etc.).
• Ability to compute statistical data and communicate complex statistical information.
• Subject matter expertise in Process Flow Mapping, Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plan Metrology (Gauges).
• Understanding or experience with auditing (System, Process, Procedure).
• Product Auditing – Sample Auditing AQL.
• Product knowledge.
• Good understanding of quality tools (pareto charts, histograms, flow charts, etc.).
• Experience with APQP/QFD.
• Computer literacy, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Six Sigma Green Belt.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• 4 years in the Quality Field.
• Align quality to customer and business value proposition.
• ASQ Certifications: CQE, CQM, CQA, CQT, CRE.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO-9001, ISO-14001, QS9000).
• Experience with ANSI A161.1 ISO-9000 Lead Auditor Certificate.
• Other Quality related certificates.
• Six Sigma Black Belt.

Working Hours

Shift: Full or Part Time, Full time.
