Job summary

AISIN Electronics is seeking a Quality Control professional to support the Quality Control Section Manager in ensuring product quality and process control. The role involves customer interaction on quality issues, PPAP activities, and cross-functional PFMEA participation, with emphasis on data evaluation and SPC control charts.

The ideal candidate has a 4+ year engineering degree, 5 years manufacturing experience, and CAD experience (SolidWorks).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in engineering or engineering technology; HU/ABET accreditation considered.
  • 5 years of prior applicable experience in manufacturing.
  • Valid passport for travel.
  • Solidworks or other CAD drawing software experience preferred.

SUMMARY

**AISIN Electronics does not offer any form of sponsorship for employment. This position will support the Quality Control Section Manger in the completion of various duties required to meet the goals of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure product's compliance with Customer's requirements.
  • Interface with customer relating manufacturing quality issues.
  • Work with approved supplier to procure quality subcomponents using PPAP.
  • Participate in drawing review at early product planning stages.
  • Participate in cross functional PFMEA activity.
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines.
  • Evaluate data, set control levels and maintain SPC control charts on selected items.
  • Present information at Quality Review stages.
  • Feedback customer quality information back to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate and implement quick countermeasure activity.
  • Meet with MFG to understand in-process problems & subcomponent trouble.
  • Maintain set of current drawings.
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines.
  • Customer Window.
  • Customer PPAP Process.
  • Set up & Evaluation of RT Parts.
  • Evaluation of Returned Product (Field & Customer) & Report.
  • Preparation of Management review material (Monthly & QR).
  • Process Audit.
  • Defect Analysis & Reporting.
  • QIP Activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities, except directing team members when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor of science 4+ year degree (BSC or BEng) in engineering, or engineering technology.
    • The university issuing this degree must have a H.L.C. and A.B.E.T. accreditation.
    • Accepted Engineering or Engineering Technology degrees: Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Control, Computer engineering, Electro-mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Mechatronics Robotics engineering, and Systems.
  • 5 years of prior applicable experience in manufacturing.
  • Valid passport for travel required for travel
  • Solidworks or other CAD drawing software experience preferred.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment.

SALARY RANGE:$76,250 - $90,250 Annually
