Gallin Associates in Mansfield, OH is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join a fast-paced automotive supplier team. You will report to the Quality Manager and engage with customers to resolve quality issues on a daily basis.

You will lead root-cause investigations, implement corrective actions, review control plans, and support new model launches on the factory floor with travel up to 10%. A strong background in FMEAs, SPC, and Minitab is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of quality engineering in automotive or manufacturing.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• FMEAs and control plans knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Established automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their fast-paced team. As the Quality Engineer, you will report to the Quality Manager and work with a team of quality professionals.

Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for quality issues
• Determine root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns
• Review control plans
• Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for customers and management
• Assist area managers and process engineers with problem solving
• Monitor and update portals

• Complete defect analysis in a lab setting

This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day. Candidates should enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and communicating with hourly and salary staff within different departments to drive quality improvements. Candidates should be able to work in fast-paced environments, work independently and take ownership of their projects. Travel to customer sites and sister plants will be up to 10% of the time; most travel is within driving distance.

REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Engineer

1. Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field; experience will be considered in lieu of degree
2. At least three years of similar quality engineering experience with an automotive supplier or OEM or in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing environments
3. Root cause analysis and corrective actions
4. Formal problem solving skills
5. Experience communicating with customers
6. Working knowledge of FMEAs and control plans
7. Microsoft Office

• Statistical process control (SPC)
• Quality certifications
• 5WHY experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Supervision of others
• Gage and/or metrology experience

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Mansfield, OH area. There is a conservative relocation package available for regional candidates who meet all of the requirements.
