Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Aerospace, or a related technical discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience, including internships, co-ops, manufacturing, or academic project experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 2-5 years of quality, manufacturing, production, or aerospace engineering experience (for higher levels).
• Experience leading quality reviews, process improvements, and corrective action efforts (for higher levels).

Responsibilities

• Review upcoming production and integration activities for quality risks.
• Provide actionable feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Evaluate work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing processes for safety and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams (for higher levels).

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer I/II/III to support the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems and spacecraft hardware. This role serves as a critical peer reviewer for build processes and work instructions, ensuring manufacturing operations are clear, accurate, executable, and aligned with quality standards before hardware is built. The Quality Engineer will review upcoming production and integration activities, identify potential errors, process gaps, or quality risks, and provide actionable feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to evaluate whether work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing processes will result in a safe and compliant product.

This position is an initial 6-month contract with opportunity to extend. The hourly rate is based on experience, ranging from $38.50-72/hr. This is an onsite position, working a 9x80 schedule.

Quality Engineer II

2-5 years of quality, manufacturing, production, or aerospace engineering experience.

Experience reviewing manufacturing procedures, work instructions, or build documentation.

Ability to independently identify risks and recommend process improvements.

Quality Engineer III

5+ years of aerospace, manufacturing, or quality engineering experience.

Experience leading quality reviews, process improvements, and corrective action efforts.

Ability to mentor junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams. Aerospace, spacecraft, aviation, or highly regulated manufacturing experience.

Experience supporting hardware assembly, integration, or testing.

Familiarity with non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Experience reviewing manufacturing travelers, build instructions, or operational procedures.

Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality systems.

Background in mechanical, electrical, materials, or systems engineering.
