Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II/III to support the assembly, integration, and production of advanced spacecraft hardware. This role is heavily focused on developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing work instructions that enable technicians to safely and consistently build flight hardware. Successful candidates will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and integration teams to translate engineering designs into clear, executable production processes.

The Manufacturing Engineer serves as the bridge between design and production, ensuring build procedures are accurate, complete, and optimized for efficient manufacturing. Much of the work involves reviewing engineering changes, incorporating feedback from technicians and production teams, redlining documentation, updating work instructions, and driving continuous process improvements.

This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. We have a strong training pipeline and are open to both recent graduates and experienced engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving and supporting hardware production.

This position is an initial 6-month contract with opportunity to extend. The hourly rate is based on experience, ranging from $38.50-72.50/hr. This is an onsite position, working a 9x80 schedule.

Skills and Requirements

Manufacturing Engineer II

• 2-5 years of manufacturing, production, integration, or process engineering experience.
• Experience creating or maintaining work instructions, process documentation, or manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to independently support production operations and process improvements.

Manufacturing Engineer III

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within aerospace or complex hardware environments.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes and procedures for new products.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor junior engineers. Aerospace, spacecraft, satellite, aviation, or complex hardware manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting assembly, integration, and test activities.
• CAD experience including SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or AS9100 environments.
• Experience authoring technical procedures, build travelers, or manufacturing instructions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
