Job summary

nVent is seeking a Quality Engineer to partner with manufacturing teams, applying quality control procedures and leading efforts to improve product quality and efficiency.

The role focuses on data analysis, process auditing, and collaboration with suppliers and production staff to uphold rigorous quality standards across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in EE/ME/Manufacturing or related field, or five years equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Proven experience in a quality-related role.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work optimally in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and tools, preferred.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply established quality control procedures and standards for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze data and identify trends to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with production teams to pinpoint and address quality concerns.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality control procedures and guidelines.
  • Record quality control actions and outcomes accurately.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
