Job summary

nVent is seeking a quality-focused professional to advance our manufacturing quality and customer happiness. The role emphasizes driving improvements in products and processes through Lean/Six Sigma practices and robust corrective actions.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, multi-year quality experience, and a track record leading ISO 9001 programs in sheet metal fabrication and electronic assembly environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive improvement in products and processes to achieve high Quality and Customer Happiness.
  • Oversee corrective action system, including supervisory open action status, reviewing customer responses, coordinating with departments for action completion, and auditing efficiency.
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools like 5-whys and fishbone diagrams.
  • Apply statistical quality methods (SPC, SQC, DOE, ANOVA, GR&R, Hypothesis testing) for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee, implement, and maintain the ISO 9001:2015 program.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Drive improvement in our products and processes to achieve a high level of Quality and Customer Happiness.
  • Oversee and champion the corrective action system, inclusive of: supervising open action status, receiving and reviewing customer responses, working with departments for accurate completion of actions, creating periodic reports and metrics, and auditing to verify the efficiency of corrective actions.
  • Perform root cause analysis, applying tools such as 5-whys, fishbone diagrams and change analysis.
  • When feasible, implement and apply statistical quality methods such as Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Statistical Quality Controls (SQC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) methodology, Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R), and Hypothesis testing to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee, implement, and maintain the company's ISO 9001:2015 program.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or another technical field is required.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools is highly desirable.
  • Validated multi-year experience in a Quality Role.
  • Multiple years of experience leading a company-wide ISO 9000 program.
  • A minimum of three years of Quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a sheet metal fabrication and electronic assembly environment is a plus.
  • Ability to optimally plan, direct and coordinate activities.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and improve quality processes.
