Job summary

nVent in Blaine, Minnesota, is seeking a Quality Engineer II to enhance our Data Solutions. You will represent our Quality function, ensuring our products meet performance and reliability standards. The position includes a weekend shift of Friday to Sunday, allowing for a 3-day work schedule with full pay.

Weekend shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM - enjoy a 3-day schedule while getting paid for a full 40-hour week. Climate controlled facility

As a Quality Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our Data Solutions value stream delivers products that meet the highest standards for performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

What you will experience in this position:
  • Represent the Quality function and act as a primary liaison with customers, building strong relationships and confidence in our processes.
  • Facilitate customer engagement at multiple levels, partnering proactively to address concerns and align on quality expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers - both inside and outside the organization.
  • Support production teams to ensure highquality, compliant products are delivered consistently and in accordance with established processes.
  • Lead and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, driving timely disposition and corrective actions.
  • Manage internal nonconformance reports (NCRs) and external quality issues, including customer complaints, from identification through resolution.
  • Evaluate suspect or nonconforming materials, working with diverse teams to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Lead quality problem solving efforts using Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies, including containment, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, Capability Studies, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
YOU HAVE:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • 2+ years of experience with Manufacturing or Quality processes.
  • Quality Certifications such as CQE, CMQ, CQA, and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training are strongly preferred.
  • Experience in process improvement, planning, Six Sigma, Lean training, and quality systems.
  • Experience with optical, multisensor, and scanning inspection equipment (preferred).
  • Experiencesupporting quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites (preferred).

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
