Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Aero seeks a Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering support for aero-derivative gas turbine programs. The QE will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and cross-functional teams to drive quality, cost and delivery goals with suppliers.

Responsibilities include first article inspections, audits, supplier issue resolution, corrective actions, and development of quality metrics across program value streams.

• Hard gaging experience with calipers and micrometers

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS 365 suite

Job description

In this position, the Quality Engineer (QE) will be responsible for providing quality engineering support for aero-derivative gas turbine programs. The selected QE will team with Engineering, Procurement, and other cross-functional groups to drive the business and its suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Job Requirements

• Perform and approve first article inspections.
• Complete Quality System audits and process compliance assessments.
• Provide Quality technical support within the program value streams.
• Lead the resolution of supplier and customer escapes.
• Ensure implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist in the development and distribution of quality metrics including nonconforming material, supplier performance, and escapes.
• Monitor supplier quality assurance for suppliers and engine models.
• Review/modify quality requirements for supplier purchase orders as required.
• Manage assigned supplier nonconformances and deviations.
