Autoliv is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and sustain operations in an automotive safety test laboratory. You will plan, execute, and analyze product validation and qualification testing, including inflator performance and reliability evaluations.

Strong collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Operations is essential. The role requires a mechanical/engineering degree, excellent English communication, and experience with lab testing and data analysis.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Strong English communication skills for global collaboration.
• Experience with laboratory testing, data analysis, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with product validation or safety-related products is a plus.
• Ability to obtain/maintain passport and support outside normal hours.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting and sustaining operations within an automotive safety test laboratory by planning, executing, and analyzing product validation and qualification testing: including, inflator performance, weld analysis, hydroburst, and other reliability evaluations.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve

• Plan, coordinate, and execute product validation, reliability, qualification, and failure analysis testing to support product development and production requirements.
• Conduct specialized laboratory testing, including inflator performance, weld analysis, hydroburst, environmental, and mechanical testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Analyze test data, investigate failures using structured root cause analysis methodologies, and prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations.
• Maintain and improve laboratory test methods, procedures, work instructions, and equipment performance to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support problem-solving initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and laboratory safety and readiness.

If You Have/are

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders in an international manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing, data analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and automotive quality systems; experience in product validation or safety-related products is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in PC hardware and software troubleshooting, with the ability to use SOLIDWORKS for test fixture and hardware design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport, perform basic mechanical maintenance activities, and provide support outside normal business hours, including occasional weekends as required.
