Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking a Production Quality Senior Technician to support engineering teams in developing and manufacturing airbag components for the automotive market. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will help maintain quality standards and contribute to test data and documentation, collaborating with manufacturing to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Produces engineering documentation and reports.
• Conducts tests and records data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Provides feedback/recommendations to leadership as appropriate.
• Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials/product.
• Collaborates with other engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
• May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or R&D as they apply to product or process quality.
• Understanding of DOE and SPC concepts.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting engineering teams in the development and manufacturing of airbag components for the automotive market.
