Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation seeks a Quality Director to lead quality systems across the U.S. operations, coordinating with Supply Chain, R&D, and production to ensure compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement. You will champion QC programs, supplier evaluation, and cross-functional governance.

The role demands experts in quality tooling (PPAP, FMEA), lean practices, and change management, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Master complex leadership situations to convince stakeholders with full information and arguments.
• Understand Schindler quality and supply chain requirements and current implementation status.
• Excellent people management skills with supervisors, stakeholders and multiplicators.
• Knowledge of quality tools and processes: PCP, PRR/PPAP, FMEA, 5S, ISO9001.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Quality processes in collaboration with zone and group functions, suppliers and plants.
• Drive improvement programs to increase quality maturity and rollout the SQCP.
• Monitor Claim Cycle Time for field operations and coordinate with plant manager and other leaders.
• Oversee New Product development and CCQL projects to meet quality gates on time.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure ISO9001-2015 certification for US operations.
