Job summary

Schindler in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Quality Director to lead the quality strategy for US operations, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and driving supplier quality improvements. You will guide field operations, oversee new product development releases, CCQL projects, and quality loops while mentoring future leaders in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Master complex leadership situations to convince stakeholders with clear information and arguments.
• Understand Schindler quality and Supply Chain requirements and current implementation status by suppliers.
• Excellent people management with supervisors, stakeholders and multiplicators.
• Ability to enhance creativity in co-workers while ensuring quality requirements.
• Knowledge of quality tools and processes (laws, norms, ISO9001, 5S, Lean).
• Experience with system and process audits in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Quality processes with zone and group functions, suppliers, and Schindler plants.
• Execute Quality Checks per SCQ requirements for plants and MPEX for field operations.
• Drive quality improvements and rollout the Schindler Quality Champion Program.
• Monitor organizational setup and initiate changes; manage claim cycle time in field ops.
• Coordinate with plant manager, Supply Chain, R&D, Purchasing, and Field management for problem solving.
• Interact with stakeholders for swift resolution of quality issues in critical installations.
