Job summary

AdventHealth in Colorado is seeking a data-focused professional to perform retrospective medical record reviews and generate service area reports for leadership. You will ensure data accuracy, manage multiple EMR systems, and support data interpretation to improve donor and service outcomes.

The role requires strong Excel skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with EMR platforms. Part-time daytime hours support flexibility and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 2+ years in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with multiple EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Horizon, Sovera, Sunrise, McKesson) preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD/MS-DRG codes and healthcare coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts retrospective medical record reviews.
• Provides written reports of service area findings monthly to leadership and staff.
• Ensures accuracy in data collection, data entry, and data analysis related to medical record review and donor potential.
• Acts as a resource for the medical record review process, data collection, and data interpretation.
• Provides initial orientation to the review process and ongoing training with staff.
• Collects, analyzes, maintains, and reports review summaries from hospitals within timelines.
• Ensures compliance with OPO regulatory requirements and maintains relationships with hospital staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and donor information.
