Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services in Sterling Heights is seeking a Quality Data Analyst to support warranty issue identification and communication with field teams. You will analyze warranty claim data, research issues, and craft clear documentation to aid engineers and suppliers in locating root causes and implementing containment actions.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related technical degree.
  • 1+ years of experience as an analyst or in a related field.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate technical data into executive summary formats.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams developing powertrain manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of advanced problem-solving and data analysis to identify root causes.
  • Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning.
  • Microsoft Office intermediate or advanced.
  • Willingness to work off-shift hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze warranty claim data
  • Perform analysis of warranty data to identify trends, emerging issues, and focus areas
  • Fast Track parts to appropriate locations to provide samples and/or examples of the condition under investigation
  • Research issues using available tools
  • Create documentation (Transmittals/GIMs) describing the vehicle issue
  • Provide information to teammates to understand and resolve the issue
  • Maintain Transmittal updates based on input from Engineers
  • Ensure criteria are met for Transmittal closure
  • Chart data to define issues and progress
  • Participate in issue resolution processes and closure
  • Achieve KPI's established
  • Communicate with dealers to understand vehicle issues and dealer repair actions
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer to platform teams
  • Interface with other Quality areas and Engineering through ad-hoc analysis

Job description

The Quality team is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Data Analyst to join the Quality team at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. The Quality Data Analystis responsible forsupporting in the identification of warranty issues from the field and clearly defining the problem or issue. The Quality Analyst will research warranty data for issue identification, and document and communicateappropriate communicationsto thesupport teams responsible. They will work with Engineering and assembly plant personnel to track issue resolution andensureeffective containment and permanent corrective actions areestablished.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze warranty claim data
  • Perform analysis of warranty data toidentifytrends, emerging issues, and focus areas
  • Fast Track parts toappropriate locationsto provide samples and/or examples of the condition under investigationin order todemonstratethe issue
  • Research issues using available tools
  • Createappropriate documentation(Transmittals/GIMs) that very clearlydescribethe vehicle issue that the customer experiences
  • Provideadditionalinformation to the individuals assigned to understand and resolve the issue
  • MaintainTransmittal updates based on input from the Engineers assigned to issue resolution
  • Assure all criteria are met for Transmittal closure
  • Chart dataasrequiredto define an issue todemonstrateprogress of the team
  • Participate in processes consistent with issue resolution management and closure

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science inEngineering, EngineeringTechnologyorrelated technical degree
  • 1+years' experienceworking asan analyst or other related field

  • Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning
  • Microsoft Office intermediate oradvanceknowledge
  • Willingness to work off shift hours and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Engineeringorothersimilar technicalequivalent
  • Preferred5 + years' manufacturing experience,Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Preferred5+ years’ experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
