Job summary

Conductor Power, a leader in solar EPC and electrical services, seeks a Quality Coordinator to oversee QA across renewable-energy installations. You will develop QA protocols, perform inspections, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement with project teams on-site.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 2–5 years in QA/QC, familiarity with IEC/UL standards, OSHA safety rules, and ISO 9001 knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of quality assurance or quality control experience, preferably in renewable energy.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Familiarity with solar energy systems and safety regulations (OSHA)

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement QA protocols for solar projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of solar installations.
• Documentation: Maintain records of quality control inspections and corrective actions.
• Training: Provide training on quality control measures to project teams.
• Collaboration: Work with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address quality issues.
• Reporting: Prepare quality reports highlighting trends and recommendations.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.
• Supplier Quality Management: Assess and monitor material and equipment quality from suppliers.

Requirements

The Quality Coordinator will oversee the quality assurance processes within our solar energy project and will ensure that all installations and operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of solar installations to verify adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, findings, and corrective actions, and ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality control measures and best practices in solar installation and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address quality issues and implement solutions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and workflows, leading initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Supplier Quality Management: Assess and monitor the quality of materials and equipment sourced from suppliers, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Familiarity with solar energy systems, industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL), and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Quality Management, ISO 9001) are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily sedentary work when working in the office. Occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and other team members.
• When navigating a job site, the ability to move around project sites, which may involve walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven terrain.
