Job summary

Conductor Power is seeking a Quality Coordinator to oversee QA processes for solar projects, ensuring installations align with IEC/UL standards and OSHA safety rules.

You will develop QA protocols, conduct audits, maintain documentation, and train teams to drive continuous improvement across our renewable energy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Familiarity with solar energy systems, IEC/UL standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for solar projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct inspections and audits of solar installations to verify quality and safety.
• Maintain records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
• Provide training to project teams on quality control measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to address quality issues.
• Prepare and present quality reports highlighting trends and recommendations.
• Identify process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Assess supplier quality to ensure materials meet specifications.

Requirements

The Quality Coordinator will oversee the quality assurance processes within our solar energy project and will ensure that all installations and operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of solar installations to verify adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, findings, and corrective actions, and ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality control measures and best practices in solar installation and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address quality issues and implement solutions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and workflows, leading initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Supplier Quality Management: Assess and monitor the quality of materials and equipment sourced from suppliers, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Familiarity with solar energy systems, industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL), and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Quality Management, ISO 9001) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily sedentary work when working in the office. Occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and other team members.
• When navigating a job site, the ability to move around project sites, which may involve walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven terrain.
