Job summary

Conductor Power is seeking a Supervisory Solar Installation Lead in Ethridge, MT. You will manage crew tasks from pile installation to module mounting, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to plans on a 100% travel schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mechanical or utility-scale solar construction, OSHA 10, and strong leadership and communication skills. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and outdoor work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 3+ years of mechanical or utility-scale solar construction experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Ability to travel 100% and work outdoors.
  • Ability to read and verify installations using construction drawings and measurement tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support solar installation crews in pile installation, racking assembly, torque tube alignment, and module installation while ensuring quality and productivity.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with project plans, manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and jobsite safety standards.
  • Coordinate daily field operations, including pre-task planning, material staging, inventory management, and production tracking to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to installers while identifying and resolving field issues and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Complete daily reports, monitor crew performance and hours, and perform additional duties as assigned to support successful project execution.

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads a mechanical installation crew of 3–10 team members. Responsible for daily task execution, crew safety, and quality of workmanship.


What You’ll Do


  • Lead and support solar installation crews in pile installation, racking assembly, torque tube alignment, and module installation while ensuring quality and productivity.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with project plans, manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and jobsite safety standards.

  • Coordinate daily field operations, including pre-task planning, material staging, inventory management, and production tracking to maintain efficient workflow.

  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to installers while identifying and resolving field issues and escalating concerns as needed.

  • Complete daily reports, monitor crew performance and hours, and perform additional duties as assigned to support successful project execution.


What You Bring


  • High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of mechanical or utility-scale solar construction experience; crew lead or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with utility-scale racking and tracker systems, with the ability to read construction drawings and verify installations using measurement tools.

  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead crews in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred), a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel 100%.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, and navigating active construction sites.
