Job summary

Siemens is establishing a new Knightdale, NC manufacturing facility and seeks a Quality Control & Testing Manager to lead the quality function from the ground up. You will implement ISO-compliant quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure robust testing and validation of integrated solutions for data centers, utilities, and industrial customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of quality engineering, quality management, testing, or manufacturing quality experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems and ISO standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing measurement and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality and testing organization for a new Siemens manufacturing facility.
• Establish ISO-certified quality systems and scalable processes for the facility.
• Drive continuous improvement, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure successful testing and validation of integrated solutions.
• Help shape the plant culture, standards, and long-term operational strategy.
• Lead daily quality inspection and testing operations.
• Develop and maintain quality management systems, inspections, tool tracking and calibration and testing protocols.
• Prepare the facility for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification.
• Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
• Drive quality performance through KPIs, yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost-of-quality initiatives.
• Support production teams through daily Tier and GEMBA engagements.
• Partner with Supplier Quality to improve incoming quality and supplier performance.
• Oversee NCRs, RMAs, and customer quality concerns.
• Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence with emphasis on Siemens' Zero Harm safety culture.
