Job summary

Standard Materials Group, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect, test, and document aggregates, concrete, and related materials for quality control. You will build relationships with customers, DOT personnel, and suppliers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, DOT certifications, and less than one year of related experience. Travel and flexible hours may be necessary; pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications to test concrete.
• Less than one year of experience in a related field is required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet fleet safety qualifications.
• Must be willing to travel and work nights/weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, concrete, or materials for quality control.
• Test mixtures to meet contract specs and quality tolerances.
• Monitor daily processes to ensure compliance with agency requirements.
• Prepare and record accurate test results in the database.
• Obtain necessary certifications in a timely manner.
• Maintain lab equipment and certification paperwork.
• Follow quality control plans and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure safety policies and PPE usage; wear required PPE.
