Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Rosenberg, TX is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality of batching, mixing, and delivering ready-mixed concrete that meets project specs and customer expectations. This role includes travel to monitor quality standards and perform testing.

You will perform QC tests (air content, slump, yield, strength), calibrate production and testing equipment, sample raw materials, and communicate results to dispatch and batch personnel.

Qualifications

• Basic organizational and math skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
• Prior QC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
