Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our Moab, UT plant. You will ensure batching and mixing meet project specs and monitor quality through testing and calibrations.

The role requires travel to monitor quality standards and communicate results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers. We value strong math, organization, and communication skills for success in our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of QC experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
