Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Technician – Level 3 with a background in quality inspection process to join our team at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA). As a Quality Technician - Level 3, you will report to the Quality Supervisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper day-to-day execution of quality objectives, enhance product quality, and contribute to the success of the world's largest lithium-ion battery initiative. The Quality Technician – Level 3 will work together with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.

Essential Duties:

• Perform high-level data interpretation and analytics tied to Key Performance Indicators. Support effective and timely containment actions and treatment of nonconforming materials.
• Operate independently sometimes without written SOPs, analyze data, and make decisions on the production floor and laboratories.
• Report quality issues, concerns, or deviations from standards to Supervisors and Engineers in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed inspection, quality issues and deviation records as required.
• Assist product audits as directed by the supervisor. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area.
• Ability to train others at same or lower level within functional area.
• Ensure area cleanliness and 6S standards are met.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

• To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Pre-employment respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications: Requirements -

Required and/or Preferred Education Required:

• High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in documenting test results, inspection findings, and other relevant information accurately and comprehensively.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant experience in quality roles with strong understanding in corrective actions and containment actions.
• Six-sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent continuous improvement project experience.
