Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Quality Control Technician Apprentice/Journey level to perform chemical analyses at a generating station. You will train in lab work, report preparation, and environmental compliance while supporting plant operations and safety programs.

Travel to other stations may be required as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining test equipment, collecting data for GADS and regulatory reports, and supporting safe handling of chemicals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the Quality Control Technician Apprenticeship and pass the final position qualification examination.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of plant systems and ability to perform work requirements on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab work, tests and analysis relating to the generating station operations.
• Calibrate and maintain CEMS equipment and analyze lab instrumentation.
• Prepare and report environmental compliance data and related reports.
• Collect data and generate required environmental and plant reports.
