Job summary

Alliant Energy's Burlington Generating Station seeks an Apprentice or Journey level Quality Control Technician trainee to perform lab analyses across coal, water, oil, and related samples, and to prepare reports and records. You will support environmental testing and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Quality Control Technician Apprenticeship and final exam.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab work, tests and analysis for plant operation and safety.
• Prepare reports and maintain records and station statistics.
• Report environmental data and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Operate and calibrate CEMS and related instrumentation.
