Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure material and workmanship quality on energy infrastructure projects. You will perform inspections, document results, and support QC plans while collaborating with construction teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance.

Requirements include 1–3 years in QC/QA, ability to read drawings, and familiarity with industry standards. A technical degree is preferred; strong detail orientation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical field preferred.
• 1–3 years in quality control/quality assurance in energy/construction/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, AWS codes is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication.
• Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape).
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on incoming materials, in-progress work, and completed projects.
• Conduct dimensional checks and material verification as per project requirements.
• Document inspection results and communicate non-conformances to project management.
• Assist in developing and implementing quality control plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review project specifications, blueprints, and QC documents for compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of all QC activities.
• Participate in root cause analysis for quality deficiencies and recommend preventative measures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
