Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks a QC Manager to oversee quality control across projects, ensuring adherence to project specs, industry standards, and company policies. You will develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems for construction and engineering services.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of codes (ASTM, AWS, ASME, API, AISC), and a track record of delivering defect-free work while driving continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in quality control/quality assurance within construction/infrastructure or heavy industrial sectors.
• At least 3-5 years of leadership or managerial experience supervising QC personnel.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, AWS, ASME, API, AISC).
• Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), NACE, or equivalent are desirable.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Control Plan for all projects.
• Lead and manage a team of QC inspectors and technicians.
• Conduct inspections and audits of ongoing work, materials, and processes.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.
• Review and approve project-specific quality documentation (ITPs, submittals, welding procedures).
• Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit QC reports and NCRs to management and clients.
• Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies for quality matters.
• Participate in project planning to integrate quality considerations from the outset.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
