Job summary

County Prestress in Roberts, WI is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure concrete products meet standards through inspections, tests, and measurements across the production process. You will document findings and help resolve issues to maintain consistent quality.

The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and clear communication with production teams, with a focus on safety and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
• Concrete plant and/or quality control experience highly desired.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
• Solid math aptitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Preferred PCI Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications as directed by leadership.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during production of materials and products
• Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production
• Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry
• Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product
• Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance
• Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
