Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Silverthorne, CO is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure quality of batching, mixing, and delivering ready-mixed concrete to meet project specs and customer expectations. Travel may be required to monitor quality standards and perform testing.

The role involves QC tests, calibration of equipment, sampling of raw materials, and recording results for dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of QC experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
