Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our plant in West Valley City, Utah. You will ensure quality control of batching, mixing, and delivering ready-mixed concrete meeting project specifications and customer expectations. Travel to monitor quality standards and test materials may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1-year of QC experience within a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
