Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Field Quality Control Technician to perform testing on concrete, soils, and asphalt across multiple sites in Wyoming. The role involves managing lab testing, ensuring compliance with QC plans and industry standards, and communicating findings to engineers and project managers.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, be willing to travel, and possess or pursue relevant certifications (ACI, OSHA). Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to travel to reporting office and nearby areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
  • Experience in construction-related field is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain industry certifications (ACI, OSHA 10, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform field quality control tests on concrete, soils, and asphalt.
  • Perform field density testing on soil, asphalt, and other materials.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications for lab and construction materials testing.
  • Manage lab testing of concrete, soils, and other CMT materials.
  • Enter daily field observation and summary reports electronically.
  • Travel to construction sites as required.
  • Relay information to project manager/engineer.
  • Support other departments as necessary.
