Job summary

Staker Parson Companies seeks a skilled QC Tester to safely collect samples, test asphalt and aggregate materials, and accurately report results. You will operate nuclear density gauges, maintain records, and ensure compliance with DOT specs and safety regulations in a lab and field setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of QC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work extended hours with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education and experience align with QC responsibilities in field and lab settings.
• Ability to read and follow established procedures and specs.
• Proven ability to collect, test, record and report results accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing asphalt materials.
• Set-up, operate and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction.
• Have working knowledge of state DOT and governing agency job specifications.
• Perform sampling, testing and reporting procedures per established protocol.
• Report non-compliant tests to project superintendent when applicable.
• Maintain daily record of test results and submit reports to lab supervisor.
• Perform asphalt coring operations for density and investigation as necessary.
• Follow MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures.
