Job summary

Staker Parson Materials & Construction seeks a skilled technician to operate and support sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials on construction projects. You will collect samples, run tests, and document results to project standards.

The role requires knowledge of DOT specs, capacity to drive a company vehicle, and adherence to MSHA/OSHA safety procedures; a valid driver’s license is essential. Experience in QC is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to two years prior QC experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• WAQTC Certification preferred.
• CAPA Level A & B certification preferred.
• Ability to read and write simple instructions and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples for testing.
• Set-up, operate and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction.
• Know state DOT and governing agency specifications.
• Perform sampling, testing, and reporting per protocol with timely results.
• Promptly report non-compliant tests to project supervision.
