Job summary

Allen Distribution is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the Custom Packaging department. The role reports to the Operations Manager and performs audits during the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 9:30pm-6am) with possible overtime. Wage starts at $19.00 hourly, with a $1.50 shift differential when applicable.

This position requires heavy involvement in documentation, inspections and adherence to customer SOPs. Key tasks include meeting productivity and quality goals, reviewing customer instructions,

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of food safety or be willing to receive training.
• Ability to document findings legibly and timely.
• Willingness to lead and motivate a team to meet daily goals.
• Basic arithmetic and reading/writing skills required.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Meet hourly production standards and escalate production issues per SOP.
• Review customer work instructions before processing orders.
• Keep the visual goal chart updated when applicable.
• Understand procedures for operating production machines.
• Document inspections and results during shifts.
• Report non-conformances to management promptly.
• Suggest improvements to daily processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and adhere to safety policies.
