Altium Packaging in Mt. Airy, NC is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to audit, test, and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met.

The role focuses on maintaining GMP compliance, performing laboratory testing, and supporting process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in quality tech roles, knowledge of basic statistics, and proficiency with calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing setting.
• ASQ certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometer).
• Knowledge of basic statistics.
• Good computer and math skills.
• Safe work practices.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Apply statistical tools to monitor plant performance and finished goods.
• Complete laboratory testing and collect samples at established intervals.
• Seek process improvements and make recommendations to management.
• Audit compliance with GMP policies.
• Perform process inspections during molding, packaging and loading.
• Audit for compliance to control plan requirements.
