Job summary

Allen Distribution is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the Custom Packaging department. The role involves performing daily value-added inspections to ensure productivity and quality in packaging operations, documenting audit results and adhering to customer SOPs.

In this full-time, first-shift position, you will support continuous improvement, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with the Operations Manager to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to document and record findings legibly and timely.
• Ability to provide work direction and motivate team toward daily goals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read/write skills.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks.
• Experience or training in food safety preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of packaging, carton formation, date coding, product quality and packaging integrity.
• Document inspections and audit results per SOPs.
• Follow SOPs and customer work instructions; escalate issues to management.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and support safety practices.
• Communicate issues professionally and report non-conformances immediately.
