Job summary

Wieland is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Delaware, OH. This on-site role emphasizes inspection of materials, adherence to ASME/quality procedures, and collaboration across departments to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Starting pay is $24/hr with a $0.75 shift differential for the 2nd shift; training on first shift is provided for 30–60 days, with bi-weekly pay and hard work rewarded by growth opportunities within a large global manufacturer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with Quality as a primary function.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings/prints and writing technical reports.
• Must be able to use standard and metric tape measures, calipers, weld gauges and other quality tools.
• Must become CI/QAI and liquid penetrant certified within 90 days.
• Vocational or associate degree preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a noisy/heavy environment.
• PPE must be worn; detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to company quality control procedures.
• Cooperate with production to maximize output with quality targets.
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material to specifications and prints.
• Conduct specific calibrations and tests; record results.
• Initiate NCRs and support corrective actions with Production.
• Dispose rejected material properly; assist in project implementations.
