Job summary

Gellert Global Group is seeking a FSQA Technician in Wisconsin to monitor hygiene, sanitation, and product quality across production areas. You will perform QC testing, support QA initiatives, and ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.

The role involves inspections, sample handling, collaboration with production, and ensuring safe, compliant releases of products. This position requires physical stamina for long shifts and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HACCP knowledge with willingness to obtain certification.
• GMPs and food safety procedures understanding.
• SQF standards knowledge; SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining focus.
• Collaborative team player with physical stamina for extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to manufacturing, hygiene and sanitation standards (GMPs) across all departments.
• Conduct inspection rounds to monitor product quality (metal detector CCP, seals, weight, labels).
• Perform raw bulk and finished goods inspections and maintain Quality Checklist records.
• Support production staff in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
• Enforce SQF guidelines, HACCP analyses, and prerequisite programs.
• Collect, label, log, and organize samples for lab testing and ensure order integrity.
• Organize daily testing to ensure correct product release and shipment readiness.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:

The FSQA Technician monitors and enforces food manufacturing controls, with a strong focus on hygiene, sanitation, and product quality. This role performs quality control testing to support safe, efficient operations and reports to the FSQA Supervisor and/or Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Ensuring employees adhere to manufacturing, hygiene and sanitation standards (GMPs) in all departments.
• Following up product quality by conducting inspection rounds:
  • Production checks - Metal detector (CCP), seals, weight, label review.
• Be a consistent presence in the assigned production area(s):
  • Conducting visual inspections for GMPs violations in each department.
  • Conduct raw bulk products inspections during production.
    • Conduct finished goods inspections (Quality Checklist program - labels, dates/codes, packaging, etc.)
• Supporting production staff in problem-solving efforts.
• Support and enforced SQF guidelines, HACCP analyses and Food Safety pre-requisite programs.
• Collect, label, log, bag, and organize samples to be sent to lab and verify all orders being sent.
• Organize daily testing so that the release of the product is done correctly.
• Check and release product(s) prior to shipment.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment by following established rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Skills & Experience:

• 2 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of HACCP; certification preferred or willingness to obtain it. Training will be provided to the right candidate if needed.
• Thorough understanding of GMPs and food safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of SQF food safety standards; SQF Practitioner certification preferred or willingness to obtain it. Training will be provided to the right candidate if needed.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining focus for extended periods.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues as they arise.
• Collaborative team player.
• Required to stand and walk, for long periods throughout the day (95% floor - 5% computer).
