Job summary

Gellert Global Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to uphold GMP, HACCP and SQF standards in our North American food manufacturing operations. The role centers on ensuring product quality through inspections, label reviews and sanitation checks in a fast-paced environment.

You will support production with problem solving, perform inspections, and ensure compliance across departments. A minimum of 2 years in manufacturing QA and HACCP knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HACCP knowledge; certification preferred or willingness to obtain it
• GMPs and food safety procedures
• SQF standards knowledge; SQF Practitioner certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Ensuring employees adhere to GMPs and sanitation standards in all departments.
• Following up product quality by conducting inspection rounds.
• Perform production checks including metal detector, CCP seals, weight and labels.
• Be a consistent presence in assigned production areas.
• Conduct visual inspections for GMP violations in each department.
• Inspect raw bulk products and finished goods for quality and labeling.
• Support production staff in problem solving and investigations.
• Enforce SQF guidelines and HACCP analyses; support pre-requisites.
• Organize daily testing so product release is correct; check/release products prior to shipment.

Essential Functions

• Ensuring employees adhere to manufacturing hygiene and sanitation standards GMPs in all departments
• Following up product quality by conducting inspection rounds
• Production checks Metal detector CCP seals weight label review
• Be a consistent presence in the assigned production areas
• Conducting visual inspections for GMPs violations in each department
• Conduct raw bulk products inspections during production
• Conduct finished goods inspections Quality Checklist program labels datescodes packaging etc
• Supporting production staff in problem solving efforts
• Support and enforced SQF guidelines HACCP analyses and Food Safety pre requisite programs
• Collect label log bag and organize samples to be sent to lab and verify all orders being sent
• Organize daily testing so that the release of the product is done correctly
• Check and release products prior to shipment
• Maintains a safe clean work environment by following established rules regulations and procedures
• Other duties assigned as needed

Skills & Experience

• 2 years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of HACCP; certification preferred or willingness to obtain it Training will be provided to the right candidate if needed
• Thorough understanding of GMPs and food safety procedures
• Working knowledge of SQF food safety standards; SQF Practitioner certification preferred or willingness to obtain it Training will be provided to the right candidate if needed
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining focus for extended periods
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues as they arise
• Collaborative team player
• Required to stand and walk for long periods throughout the day 95 floor 5 computer
