QC TECHNICIAN
Summary Of Position
As a QC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the required standards of food safety and quality before they reach the market. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, components, and finished products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards will contribute significantly to our overall success.
Accountabilities
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, components, and supplies to verify conformance with established specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
- Identify and report any non-conforming products, materials, or processes, and collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and quality control procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Communicate effectively with production staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to quality control.

Work Environment
- QC technicians are often employed in manufacturing environments where they are responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications. These facilities can range from small-scale workshops to large industrial plants
- While much of the work of a QA technician may involve hands-on testing and inspection, there are also administrative tasks involved, such as documenting test results, maintaining records, and preparing reports. Therefore, some time may be spent in an office setting performing these tasks.
- QC technicians may work in laboratory settings where they conduct various tests and analyses on samples to verify quality and safety standards.

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles, quality control principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using various measurement tools, testing equipment, and quality management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and requirements (e.g., USDA, FDA, SQF, ISO,) is desirable.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
