Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a Quality Control professional to support production at our Colorado facilities. You will conduct pre/post pour inspections, stamp products to meet ASTM/DOT specs, and document outcomes to ensure top quality across the region.

You will mentor QC Technicians, maintain certifications with ACPA/NPCA and DOT, and perform daily tests on concrete quality while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Tech Certificate required.
• ACI Field Tech and ACI Strength Tech certifications required.
• Must acquire and maintain multiple state DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product.
• Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs.
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment.
• Maintain all plant and personal certifications through ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT's.
• Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.).
• Supervise, lead and mentor a group of Quality Control Technicians throughout out the region.
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard.

• Crane Certified
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Forklift certified
• Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot temperatures
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards

Your Education

• High School Diploma,GEDor Tech Certificaterequired
