JOB SCOPE: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring quality products and processes are implemented at Diamond Pet Foods. The role's primary objective is to ensure compliance with all aspects of the SQF, Quality, and Food Safety programs by all employees, vendors, and visitors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily indoors in an office setting, but employees may also work outdoors near operating equipment, loud noises, and loose particles. Conditions may include varying temperatures and dusty areas. Long periods of sitting and standing may be required. Employees must wear PPE such as bump caps, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Check paperwork, labels, bags, and seals for accuracy and completeness.
2. Ensure checks are documented, legible, and traceable.
3. Notify personnel of any reports impacting product quality; dispose or reject affected product and follow up testing.
4. Conduct tests on incoming ingredients for sieve, NIR, moisture, and mycotoxin.
5. Collect routine ingredient and finished product samples.
6. Respond promptly to quality concerns with clear communication.
7. Comply with SOPs, GMPs, and HACCP standards.
8. Work overtime as required, participating fully.
9. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation schedules.
10. Report safety hazards immediately and wear required PPE.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned with a positive attitude.
