Quality Control Technician
Job Summary:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Repair broken-down or damaged equipment in the field.
- Assess hardware and installation functionality; prepare reports on maintenance and repairs performed.
- Handle customer relations professionally and friendly.
- Explain repair issues accessibly to non-technical audiences.
- Conduct weld inspections to identify defects, ensure quality standards, and provide coaching/training as needed.
- Perform detailed inspections of raw materials and final products to ensure manufacturing standards.
- Track, record, and maintain quality assurance data.
- Monitor the entire manufacturing process to ensure each step is correctly completed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on welding issues and continuous improvement.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations, fostering safety and quality culture.
- Travel to Watertown, SD as needed; total travel less than 10%.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
- Strong knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Good industry knowledge and understanding of equipment requirements.
- Precise written communication for repair, installation, and maintenance reports.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
