Job summary

CMC is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Florida. You will conduct pre- and post-pour inspections, ensure products conform to ASTM and DOT specifications, and stamp products before shipment. You will maintain certifications and lead a regional QC group.

• Must maintain multiple state DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-pour inspections and document outcomes.
• Ensure products meet ASTM and DOT specs.
• Inspect and stamp product per DOT standards prior to shipment.
• Maintain plant and personal certifications with relevant bodies.
• Conduct daily concrete tests (cylinder breaks, pre/post pour checks).
• Lead and mentor a team of Quality Control Technicians across the region.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product
• Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment
• Maintain all plant and personal certifications thru ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT's
• Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.)
• Supervise, lead and mentor a group of Quality Control Technicians throughout out the region
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard

What You’ll Need

• Ability to keep and maintain all required documentation
• Crane Certified
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Forklift certified
• Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot temperatures
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED or Tech Certificate required
• Must have and maintain ACI Field Tech and ACI Strength Tech certifications
• Must acquire and maintain multiple state DOT certifications
