Job summary

RiverBend Materials is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Salem to test aggregates, concrete and asphalt for quality assurance. You will support a training pathway to obtain QC certifications while traveling to site locations in the Salem area and maintaining rigorous safety and performance standards.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong math basics, and ethics. Training will be provided to build skills suitable for progressive responsibilities across site testing and quality

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain all applicable Quality Control Technician certifications during training.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to Salem area sites.
• High ethics and integrity.
• Demonstrated safety, attendance, and performance.
• Effective communication with departments and customers.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Willingness to work nights, overtime, and weekends.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must pass physical exam and pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples from asphalt, concrete or aggregate plants and job sites.
• Set up, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauges for compaction.
• Perform field tests for density or other properties.
• Promptly report non-compliant tests to project superintendent.
• Process samples using testing equipment and procedures.
• Record data and enter information into computer systems.
• Communicate with plant staff.
• General clean-up and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Take action to avoid hazards.
• Regular and timely attendance.
