Job summary

RiverBend Materials, a CRH company, is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Salem, Oregon. The role includes testing aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure top quality materials, with training provided.

You will travel to nearby site locations as needed, support safety and accuracy, and contribute to a culture of integrity and growth. The ideal candidate has basic math skills, strong ethics, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Basic math and algebra skills and a high standard of ethics and integrity.
• Willingness to travel to various site locations in and near Salem.
• Must pass physical exam and pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to obtain Quality Control Technician certifications during training.
• Demonstrate effective communication with all departments and customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples from asphalt, concrete or aggregate plants and job sites.
• Set up, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauges for compaction.
• Perform field tests for density or other properties.
• Promptly report non-compliant tests to the project superintendent.
• Record data and enter information into computer systems.
• Communicate with plant staff and participate in team duties.
