Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for a HPLC & GC expert, Quality Control Chemistry Team Lead to support their QC department. This role is perfect for an experienced chemist ready to step into a leadership role, acting as the backup to the Senior Manager while staying hands-on in the lab.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead for a team of chemists, ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and meeting QC cycle times.
• Troubleshoot methods, equipment, and analytical issues, especially with HPLC, GC, GPC, and other analytical instruments.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for complex issues, implementing effective preventative measures and improvements.
• Act as a mentor and coach to junior chemists, providing training and technical guidance.
• Write and review test methods, reports, deviations, lab investigations, and validation protocols.
• Facilitate communication and resource planning during shift handovers in the absence of the supervisor.
• Lead and contribute to improvement projects to enhance laboratory efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
• 5-8 years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience
• Proficiency with HPLC, GC, and related analytical instruments (GPC, DSC, FTIR, Karl Fischer titrator, particle size analysis, etc.).
• Experience with chromatographic data acquisition software (Empower), LIMS, SAP, and TrackWise.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts for calibration and interpretation of results.
