Job summary

GTS is seeking a Quality Control Specialist for Trinity, AL to support construction efforts on the project. You will inspect the work performed by the Aerial and Underground teams, including in-house and subcontractor activities.

This role emphasizes safety, accurate reporting, and timely communications. You must read CATV/Fiber design prints, apply basic hand tools, and coordinate with teammates and clients.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of aerial and underground cable/fiber construction practices.
• Must be able to read and interpret CATV/Fiber design prints.
• VDOT work zone standards knowledge is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.

QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST - TRINITY, AL

A Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting the construction efforts of the project. Position will inspect the work done by both the Aerial team and the Underground teams for both inhouse and subcontractors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Completion of low level and high-level labor-intensive tasks as well as operation of assigned construction equipment.
• Completion of daily production reports to document work performed.
• Additional Quality Control Duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to varying temperatures as work is primarily outside.
• Noise levels are moderate to heavy.
• Work in different types of terrain including water, sand, and dirt.
• Varying degrees of light as work may begin early morning and continue in the evenings and overnight.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to carry 60-70 1bs, to include an extension ladder.
• Must be able to work at 28 feet or higher.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must possess a valid Driver’s License during the term of employment.
