Job summary

GTS is seeking an Aerial Line Person (Aerial Construction Lineman) in Trinity, AL. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment on customer sites, often at height, using aerial lift devices and line hardware.

You will troubleshoot issues and work with cable placement tools to ensure reliable network access. Requirements include 21+ years of age, a clean driving record, ability to pass screenings, and DOT medical certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older.
• Good driving record.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.
• Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
• Able to climb poles as needed.
• Able to splice coax cable.
• Able to build aerial plants to include strand, coax, and/or fiber.
• Able to complete pole transfers.

About the Role

A successful Aerial Line Person (Aerial Construction Lineman) shall access specific areas to install, maintain, and/or repair a customer's telecommunications equipment. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment... and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
