Job summary

Buckland is seeking an Intermediate Quality Control Specialist to coordinate and audit import documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulations. The role supports the team by handling missing information requests and maintaining PGA records in entries and databases.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in US Customs brokerage, 1+ year in quality control, HTS knowledge, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and audit documentation on entries as assigned.
• Assist and maintain quality and accuracy of import entries.

• Review Certificates of Origin and other documentation for eligibility to Free Trade programs.
• Audit assigned files to ensure accuracy and instructions are followed.
• Support operations in maintaining client database and training of team members.
• Ensure all shipments are entered in compliance with US Federal Code of Regulations.

The Role

This position is responsible for coordinate and audit documentation on entries, as assigned. This position will be assisting and maintaining the quality and accuracy of import entries. Furthermore, the position handles requests for missing information and ensures that all data is accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers in acquiring the proper import documentation.
• Review Certificates of Origin and other documentation to confirm eligibility to Free Trade programs.
• Analyze and update PGA records in entries and database with knowledge of PGA reporting requirements.
• Audit assigned files to ensure accuracy and instructions are followed.
• Work with operations department in maintaining of client database.
• Assist team leader in training of team members as assigned.
• Service clients and reporting of any issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Ensures all shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.
• Support as required in all Departmental Operations.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in US Customs brokerage.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control.
• Basic knowledge of HTS classification.
• Intermediate MS Office knowledge.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement.
• Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
